Team Check-In Location & Times
We are pleased to announce that you may check your team in electronically either from your home/office/mobile device, or at the Convention Center on Friday before the tournament. All teams must complete their Check-In AND pick up their teams wristbands by no later than 8:30 pm on Friday evening before the tournament.
This means that even if you check your team in “online” you still must come to the Convention Center and pick up your team’s wristbands on Friday evening. There is NO team wristband pick available on Saturday. Failure to pick up your team’s wristband on Friday will result in you having to purchase wristbands at the door for all players and staff.
We will open the online check-in on Thursday before the event at 8:00 am and it will close on Friday at 8:30 pm. To check-in online, log into your TM2 account, scroll down to the event, find the team you wish to check-in, and click on the purple button that says “check in online”. The purple check-in button will only show up after 8:00 am Thursday morning.
We will open our Check-in & Team Wristband pickup desk at the Convention Center on Thursday before the event at 3:00 pm and close at 8:30 pm.
We encourage you to utilize the online check-in before arriving at the Convention Center on Friday to pick up your team’s wristbands. It will be much quicker.
To pick up your wristbands be sure to bring a copy of the online check in receipt you will receive, either printed out or on your phone.
If you do not wish to check-in online, you may check-in in person at the Convention Center on Friday between 3:00 pm-8:30 pm.
If you are going to check-in in person, it will make things easier if you bring a copy of your QR coded roster printed out from TM2sign.com.
Club Directors may check their teams in remotely, and send the check in confirmation email we issue to their coaches or another representative to pick up their wristbands on Friday evening.
We will allow teams to practice on the Convention Center courts at the same time as team Check In (4:00pm – 8:30pm). Practices will be allowed for one hour per team. A coach or club director must report to the tournament desk to check out balls for a period of 1 hour. All practices must be completed by 8:30pm.
Athletic Trainers provided by Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists will be on duty at the Convention Center starting 45 minutes prior to the first match. The AT’s will tape you free of charge if you supply the tape. If they supply the tape it will cost you $2.00 a roll. The athletic training staff will be located in the lobby.
Coolers & Portable Chairs
The Minneapolis Convention Center has a no cooler or outside food policy. They will not allow coolers, bags of food, etc, anywhere inside the building. This means you cannot bring coolers, bags of food, etc into any part of the building including the lobbies. This is a Convention Center Policy, not a Northern Lights Policy.
No portable chairs are allowed in the Minneapolis Convention Center. Please do not bring them, the security guards will not allow them inside. There are chairs at all courts for spectators.
In order to keep the team entry fee low, the Stars & Stripes Classic is charging an admission for spectators at the Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Convention Center. Players and coaches will be issued wristbands at team check-in. Please click here for more information about ticket sales.
